Under 16's make Shield Final

In a fast paced first half the two teams were evenly matched with each team swapping try for try, but with Cumnock/Cartha's kicker converting every kick it wasn't long before they started to draw away from the home side.

With the forwards dominating in the scrums and rucks it wasn't long before the whole teams confindence was flying high and with some well placed kicks from Cumnocks fly-half it allowed Cumnock/Cartha to spend alot of time in Greenocks half.

The second half started with two great runs from Cumnocks inside centre running in a try from his own half, quickly followed by Cumnocks outside centre running the same line to score under the posts.

Tries came from forwards and back alike with 11 tries scored in total and Cumnocks scrum half converting everyone for a master class in kicking.

A special thanks got to our 3 under 15 players - Ryan and Lewis McGregor and Kane O'Brian who stepped up to help and contributed greatly to the game.

The final will be at Cumnock Rugby Club on Sunday 29th March K.O. 2pm, please come along and support the boys.
