Cumnock/Killie S2 Cougars training (including match report against Killie Under 15)

Over the last few weeks the team has been on a winning streak but the coaches had identified a number of key points that needed to be addressed. The players worked on defending and attacking kick-offs to ensure that there is now a game plan to work to during this phase of the game.

The team then played a bounce match against the U15 team. Although up against a bigger more powerful team the Cougars played well and indeed scored first. However the rucking technique of the older players told in the close contact areas, depriving the pacy Cougar backs of decent ball. The Cougars though learned from their opponents and started to rip ball in thecontact and at last the backs got a chance to go forward.

The team are looking forward to playing Biggar away from home next Sunday and are hoping for a repeat of their previous performance.
