Cumnock S1/S2 squad made the journey to Greenock on Sunday more worthwhile by playing an excellent game of rugby.

Report by Martin Wallace

The team put in 100% effort and commitment which produced 13 tries and 8 conversions in 40 minutes of play.
It was planned to play 3 20 minute games but as it was apparent it was becoming one sided the 3rd game was played with Cumnock players mixed in with Greenock.
Play was evened out as a more confident Greenock side made the match more competitive managing to put a few tries over the line but as the game was conceded this made no difference to the score but gave a boost of confidence to the Greenock players.
All aspects of the game impressed the coaches as attack , defence , teamwork and communication could not be faulted.
Man of the match or men of the match went to twins Ryan and Lewis who were relentless in defence never shying from a tackle and taking the ball forward into contact or offloading to set up the next play which resulted in tries being scored.
Try scorers were Tyler Wallace,Sean Houston,Callum Bell,John Watt,Robert McColl,Logan Naismith and Kieran Vance. Well done boys 2 away wins and more importantly 2 well played games.

Next game is against Strathaven at Broomfield on Sunday.
