Cumnock S1 @ Strathaven Tournament

Cumnock S1 travelled to Strathaven on Saturday to compete in an end of season tournament against host team Strathaven , Uddingston and Hamilton.

With only nine players available Cumnock had to borrow players from other teams to make up a squad.This resulted in an uncharacteristic performance as many players were playing out of position with backs in with forwards making the back line work harder to keep possession of the ball.

Three games which all ended in defeat due to changing positions as borrowed players were swapped from other teams meant that Cumnock never really found their groove and failed to break through to the try line more than once.

Although depleted and up against the odds they never let their heads go down and battled through to the end.A good effort highlighting the importance of teamwork and communication.
