Ardrossan kicked off the game with Cumnock taking possession of the ball, within a few phases Callum Park receiving a short pass made a break to score under the posts.
At the restart Ardrossan took the ball deep into the Cumnock 22 forcing the defence to work hard to keep them from scoring. A ruck was formed and Cumnock turned over the ball quickly moving it through the hands until a space opened up for Lewis Andrews to run in under the posts to score.
A well organised team effort showed handling and evasive skills which resulted in another try for Callum Park followed soon after when the ball shipped out wide to winger John Watt scored in the corner. Ardrossan answered back with a try to finish play in the first half.
The second half kicked off with Cumnock in full control of the game. Ardrossan continued to attack but were unable to break the home defence which powered over at the breakdowns winning back the ball denying their opponents an opportunity to score.
An all round team performance of skill and tactics throughout the team gave Cumnock the dominance in the game and the result they deserved. Second half tries came from Callum Park, Daryl McCulloch and Lewis Andrews.
