Cumnock Cougars S1 4 Glasgow Hawks S1 19

The boys started off slow and Glasgow were not long in getting on the score sheet but they kept their heads and slowly got back into the game. With some great control of the game and a brilliant kick for touch, scrum half Alistair Birrell had the team back to an even match against their opponents. The score at half time Cumnock 0 Hawks 9.

The second half the boys had to dig deep with the scrum and they didn't disappoint. With a great drive over the ball, it was then passed to Calum Park who with a dummy pass confused the Hawks and ran the try straight into the corner and was then converted by Alex Smith.
Even though the Hawks, at certain parts of the game, were more disciplined than Cumnock, the boys made some great try saving tackles and kept the score closer than it should have been.
