Ayr S1s vs Cumnock S1s

It started off a fairly even match with some lucky breaks from Ayr catching the Cumnock boys off guard leaving them 14 -0 at the end of the first 15 minutes. The boys seemed to go back on after the break looking to claw some points back, they nearly managed this with a great break from Calum Park on the half way line but was stopped short of the try line buy a last grasp heel clip.

After this the boys worked hard with some great ball handling skills but were easily driven off the ball at the breakdown leaving them with hardly any ball possesion. This lead to them going in for the second interval 29-0.

In the last 15 minutes they used the attacking line to move into Ayr's half and with sheer power and a well positioned drive from his team mates Caelen Wright managed to get the ball down on the try line and with a conversion from Calum Park the boys had something to show for all their hard work.

While the score line flattered the hosts they were worthy of their victory in a good natured game but the Cumnock coaches were impressed by the spirit and commitment of the team that can only reap rewards further down the line.
