Cumnock 4 - Glasgow Hawks 24
With this the first game back after a long summer the boys were ready to put into practice what they had learnt.
This was the first time the boys had played Glasgow Hawks and the score certainly does not reflect how well Cumnock played, it was a few well timed runs from Glasgow that made the difference to the score.
Cumnock took to the bigger pitch with gutso and everything they did they gave a 100%, with excellent passing and some real crunching tackles they certainly held their own on the day.
Straight from the kick off their attacking and movement of the ball had them on several occasions just inches from Glasgows line and when they were defending they went hard into the rucks and managed to turn the ruck over on a couple of occassions.
Team consisted of Paddy Dewhirst (try), Alex Smith (conv), Connor Hill, Calum Park, Dylan Baird, Aiden Walker, Alistair Birrell, Caelen Wright, Callum Carruthers, Callum Greer, Gary Balmer, Gavin Gilliland, Glen Young, James Smith and Lachlan Shirkie.
