Cumnock U13 v Livingston

Cumnock U13's were away to Livingston in their third match of the season. In the first of three 15 minute games Livingston started at a quick pace and never let up for the duration of all the games, they well very well organized and all were comfortable with the ball in hand. Cumnock struggled against the experienced home team especially in the first match, regardless they battled away and tried to withstand the constant pressure from the home team.
In the second match Cumnock stepped up a gear and started to get the ball wide on the wings and this offered them a good spell of pressure at their opponents line, some inexperience at the pivotal moments caused Cumnock to lose possession and Livingston displayed ruthless efficiency in getting the ball over the line.
In the final match Cumnock again displayed a great spirit continuing to take the game to Livingston, again getting the ball wide on the wings, eventually after a sustained period of pressure Cumnock managed to cross the line with the final play of the match.

Overall another tough day for the squad against established, powerful and skillful opponents. Nevertheless this is a new and developing team for Cumnock and it is hoped these games will motivate and encourage the squad to work harder and improve over the duration of the season.
