Very slow start to the game from the Cumnock side an with Lewis McGregor playing in the opposite side with his usual strong runs an Kilmarnocks backs producing some slick handling gave killie the big advantage in the 1st 20 mins. After a stren talking too and the change of 3 players seen an improvement in the 2nd 20 mins. More direct running, better tackling and the movement of the ball was far more crisper saw Cumnock claw back some of the defficet.
Into the 3rd 20 mins the boys got back in the stride of the game with a performance the coaches knew the boys can produce! The Cumnock wrecking crew (the McGregor Twins) back in the same team an with strong runs from Lewis Findlay kept Killie on the backfoot allowing the backs to produce some tremendous tries. The pick of the bunch was when Wullie Sneddon ran a great line off a pass by John Watt to split the Killie defence wide open, he was caught short of the line then passed to Dylan Naismith who supported him all the way to score under the posts. The man of the match was awarded to Luke McGhee for his strong runs an hard tackling with 4 try saving tackles!
Try Scorers Dylan Naismith, Lewis and Ryan McGregor, Wullie Sneddon, Luke Mcghee and John Watt. Coach Brian Davdson said "If only the Team could start the game the way they finished it it would stop us coaches going grey".
