Next up were the s2 team who, missing a few key players stepped up their game to put Hamilton on the back-foot for the first five minutes.
Various attacks were made with big breaks from Sean Houston, Logan Naismith and Tyler Wallace all falling short and unable to cross the line.
In the first half support play was Cumnocks weak point as big runs ended with Hamilton stealing the ball due to lack of support players.
Passing along the attacking line was impressive with fluent movement and speed but the Hamilton defence held fast denying any chance of a score.
In the second half the support play improved as Scott Teece and Robbie Kelly stepped up their game at the breakdown.
Hamilton managed to score four times and convert three due to lapses in defence. changes were made as a few extra Hamilton players offered to help out a tired Cumnock side.
Cumnock managed to put in one try with the conversion kicked by Tyler Wallace securing another point and ending the game.
