Today we had 2 mixed teams from Irvine to play against, so we got everyone together from P1 to P3 and split them into 2 teams of 5. We and an extra player on each team so had a rolling sub.
Cumnock Red – Oliver, Emily, Aaron, Rosie and Isaac.
Cumnock Black – Callum, David, Teddy, Alfie and Finn.
Our teams played really well today. Kirsty and I were refereeing and were trying to even out the teams (we were much stronger) giving a few extra tackles and allowing them through a touch tackle a few times. Our kids listened to the our instructions really well and played the game with great sportsmanship, standing off to allow them into the game and walking - jogging to let them move forward rather than always steamrolling over them. The Irvine team would I am sure have learned a lot more due to our kids behaviour and attitude today, very proud coaches.
