Cumnock Cougars Vs Ayr & Biggar

This week the young Cumnock Cougars P4 team hosted Ayr and Biggar however due to extremely poor weather conditions we were only able to kick-off our matches against Ayr as by the time we reached our matches against Biggar they had already called it a day understandably.
Our fellow Ayrshire adversaries rocked up with a large squad of 21 players who really troubled the Cubs and tested our defensive lines.
The matches were quickly kicked off to try to keep the kids as warm as possible however if keeping dry was the aim then we would have been better off at home. However, with a fire burning inside the brave kids of both teams really worked hard and battled against the elements to put on a fantastic display for their fans on the side-lines.
In each and every match we showed how great a team the Cumnock P4s have become over the last couple of seasons as we pushed and tested each defensive line that was put up against us. The team performance that was on show was awe inspiring and tries were coming thick and fast. The tackles that rained down upon our opponent’s time and again showed them that we intend to remain undefeated in our new home and that even our closest rivals would not be able to take that accolade from our grasps. The try fest kept the scoreline ticking constantly with outstanding performances coming from everyone and for every player in the team to score a try in one day really shows how the support play and team spirit has become the mainstay of our game. Kyran, Euan & Rudi showed us some great powerful dominating tries, where as Stuart, Jake and Adam battled through to show great persistence and opportunistic moves. With fast feet and amazing agility Ross and Alfie left us all in amazement with some fantastic breaks through the defence and quick steps to add to there own tallies.
