Ardrossan @ Fortress Broomfield

Cumnock Cougars welcomed Ardrossan Accies to Broomfield for a hotly anticipated morning of P5’s rugby, the Cougars were split into 2 teams the Blacks and Reds

The Blacks team - Dani , Adam S, Ross , Jake, Harvey , Kyran , Adam K , Harvey
The Reds team - Alfie , Daniel , Stuart , Rudi , Callieigh , Jack , Euan

The first match was Cumnock Blacks v Ardrossan and was a fantastic show of quality rugby from both teams there was a great display of attacking and defensive play by both teams in a very close match. Dani showed some great running and managed to score and looks like a real player for the future, playing with confidence in only his second game for Cumnock. Harvey also showed some great play and managed to score and showed no fear in his tackles. Ross was as usual on fire with his speed racking up a few tries to pile the pressure on Ardrossan. Jake Adam S Adam K and Kyran were rocks in defence and showed real power and pace in attack scoring some fantastic tries.

The second match was Cumnock Reds v Ardrossan. Another fine display was on show from both teams with Jack making his debut and looked like another great player for the future in the ever increasing Cumnock squad. the reds showed real power in defence with Rudi, Stuart and Euan showing real strength in their tackles creating a few turnovers helping Cumnock to take advantage and rack up the scores. Alfie showed some great speed in attack to score but the player of the day for the reds was Calleigh , her powerful leg drives and ball carrying made the difference, resulting in a win for the Reds.
The recent new additions to the squad have added real strength and depth and have allowed us to play with 2 realy strong teams and looks good for the future of the P5 team
