Cumnock P6 – 4 Ayr P6 - 7

Cumnock always welcome the Ayr P6 team and through the years have always had tight, closely competitive matches and this one was pretty much the same. Both teams played really well, the tackling was really good but the difference was the rucking from Ayr. As soon as they made a tackle they had someone over the ball stealing it back and time after time they done this and put Cumnock on the back foot. Apart from the rucking there was some great skills, one of the Cumnock tries particularly impressive with the ball passed from one side of the pitch and back again with some great passages of play in between. Unfortunately though there were a few frustrations creeping in from the Cumnock kids who are not used to be being beat so often but they all need to keep strong and find the winning ways when playing with higher numbers on the pitch. The performance was much better than the previous week but there is still a lot of hard work to be done yet.
