CUMNOCK P6
Cumnock P6 – 11 Cartha QP P6 - 0
After some good work at training and some new moves in attack, Cumnock were ready to welcome Cartha to Broomfield and with almost a full quota of players the kids and coaches were looking forward to the kick off. Cumnock started brightly and were starting to punch holes in the Cartha defence, Glen like a battering ram knocking his way through. Lewis was supplying the speed and must have had a barrowload of assists to his tally for the day. Once the first try went over you could see the confidence grow within the team and it was really good to see the kids rucking well again maybe at times just standing off a little but still a good improvement. Sam opened his account for the day with a penalty from five metres out and was impressive the way he barged his way through the defence knocking two players off their feet in the process. Ben Welsh was having a cracker of a game again which is really pleasing and Harry showing good improvement with his tackling. Stuart was a contender for man of the match really taking the game to Cartha and being a constant menace whenever they were in possession with great line speed and terrific tackling. Overall a great display for the P6’s and hopefully the match to kick start their season.
