Whitecraigs P6 – 8 Cumnock P6 - 3

The Cumnock P6 kids travelled to Whitecraigs for another shot at the new pitch size and team numbers. With only eleven players and Whitecraigs with eighteen the kids were in for a tough match and with a loan of eventually two players after Cumnock lost one of the boys to injury there were no substitutes available. The Cumnock kids done really well, the rucking was a massive improvement from the previous week with Ben Welsh being a notable stand out and Ali Wallace switching from full back to forward and making a difference to the rucking. There was some really good passing along the backs with Lewis O’Kane orchestrating a lot of the moves and Katie Hart and Blair Bell creating lots of good runs. At 4-3 going into the final third you could see the fatigue setting in and this allowed Whitecraigs to run riot adding a few more tries to their tally. Lots of good work and lots to work on in training but good to see that all the kids enjoyed the game.
