For the first time this season the home side started a game with a full team sheet of 22 quality players which enabled rolling substitutions to bolster the boys.

But right on half time they tightened up their game and won the ball from a set piece allowing the backs to charge forward and get on the the score sheet to take a 12-7 lead at the break.
The Cougars upped the ante in the second half with their backs to running into the wide channels to create chances.
Gregor Paxton stole the show with four touch downs, Callan Gordon who produced a great pick up from number eight resulting in a strong individual try and David Smith's ever reliable kicking.
