Cumnock vs Strathaven/Dalziel

A fresh, sunny day saw both sides competing hard for territory with Cumnock coming out on top but unfortunately fluffing several opportunities before John Watt opened the scoring. Cumnock kept the pressure on allowing Lee Fraser to power over for Cumnock's 2nd score, unfortunately a combination of a stout defense, poor handling and bad decisions saw Cumnock squander opportunities to extend their lead before Robbie Kelly entered the fray, scoring with his first touch.A conversion apiece from Ryan and Luke McCregor gave Cumnock a 19-0 lead at the break.

The 2nd half saw Cumnock keep their opposition under the cosh and extend their lead when Josh Mansell picked up from the back of a scrum. Missed opportunities seemed to be the order of the day as Cumnock passed up several chances, tries being disallowed and knock-ons with the try line at their mercy. Euan Bell scored Cumnock's last try crashing over the line to continue his impressive try scoring run. A conversion from Ryan McCregor saw Cumnock come away with a 31-0 victory.
