Representatives of the senior and youth section committees along with EAC officers met at Netherthird sports field this week to discuss the appropriate remediation works to address the standing water on the pitches. Committee member, Hamish Hodge kindly agreed to attend to offer his experienced views on drainage issues. After inspection and discussion it was agreed to move forward with a number of drainage solutions on the key problem areas of the pitches. Any work to the pitches will take place after the final game of the season when the weather conditions should improve enough to allow heavy plant on to the pitches. It is anticipated that both pitches will be available for play at the beginning of next season. EAC have confirmed that the site start at Broomfield is imminent with the 3G pitches becoming available mid-way through next season.
Further updates will be posted as/when new information is available.
