The club is delighted to announce that an application to the Scottish Government's, Cashback for Communities Fund has been approved and will provide the sum of £45,000 towards the upgrading of the changing facilities within the clubhouse.

The proposed improvements will primarily ensure that all of the changing rooms will have their own showering facilities whilst also allowing us to significantly upgrade.

News filtered through unofficial channels yesterday that the club had been successful however the official channels confirmed the award through the Scottish Rugby website earlier today.

Club President Jim Morrison, who spearheaded the grant application process commented, "This award will allow Cumnock Rugby Club to bring the standard of changing facilities up to a level in keeping with the rest of our facilities and all members should be very proud of our success".

There is no word yet as to when work will begin however it is likely that the end of the 2012-13 senior season will signal the start of works.
